Since 1975, MEDC has designed and manufactured alarm, signal, control and notification equipment. Products are specifically designed for harsh environmental conditions and where there is a risk of explosion due to the presence of flammable atmospheres both onshore and offshore.

BG2 Fire Alarm Call Points

The BG2 Manual Fire Alarm Call Point has been designed for use in flammable atmospheres with harsh environmental conditions. The GRP enclosure is suitable for use offshore or onshore where light weight combined with a high level of corrosion resistance is required.

Combination Units

Combination units are designed to provide audio and visual awareness to an emergency situation. Units are suitable for use in the harsh environmental conditions found offshore and onshore in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Combination units can be wired for simultaneous operation or individual operation.

DB3B Range - HORNS - Up to 115dB

Replacement for the current DB3. For use in a wide range of temperatures from -55ºC to +70ºC, the Ex enclosure is manufactured from GRP with a rugged thermoplastic flare providing a corrosion free and aesthetically pleasing product. Capable of producing 125dB @ 1m and with a range of pre-recorded tones, the DB3B includes an integral volume control which is ideal when a lower output is required.

DB4B Range - Hazardous Area Speaker

Replacement for the DB4 with improved clarity and acoustic performance. Certified for use in a wide range of temperatures (from -55ºC to +70ºC) the Ex enclosure is manufactured from GRP with a rugged thermoplastic flare providing a corrosion free and lightweight product. The frequency response of the unit ensures that critical voice messages and general alarm tones are highly intelligible.

HD1 Range - HEAT DETECTOR

The HD1 heat detector has been designed for use in hazardous environments. These units are suitable for fire alarm and/or suppression systems in offshore and onshore applications including paint spray booths, flammable material stores, turbine rooms, extract ductwork and other hazardous areas.

LD15 Range - High Intensity LED Beacon

LD15 certified LED Beacons have been designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and harsh environmental conditions. Incorporating a low maintenance, innovative LED array, allows the LD15 to have life of up to 54,000 hours. The low current consumption design allows an energy efficient solution without compromising light output.

MEDC SL15 Status Lamp

These Status Lights have been designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and harsh environmental conditions. The indicators are suitable for use offshore or onshore, where a high degree of corrosion resistance is required. Units can be painted to customer specification and supplied with identification labels.

PH1 Fire Alarm Call Points

The PH1 is a double action pull handle call point designed for use in Class 1 and Zone 1/Div 1 areas. The large "Lift" and "Pull" GRP handles can be operated effortlessly whilst wearing industrial gloves and require double action to alarm, preventing accidental activation. The PH1 operates in the harshest environments with a temp rating of -50 to +70 deg Celsius.

Designed to not only meet the most stringent Life Safety requirements, but also provide you with industry-leading intelligible voice communications for Wide-Area Mass Notification. Can be integrated with your existing audio source, providing a simple upgrade path to expand emergency communications coverage to outdoor areas.

Security Camera

The MCS8 Camera Station has been designed specifically for use within harsh & demanding environmental conditions. A vari-focal lens as standard, a variety of mounting brackets and wiper/washer tank options provides the capability for most demanding CCTV applications.

SM87 PB Fire Alarm Call Points

The SM87 PB Fire Alarm Call Points are designed for use in Class 1, Zone 1 and Class 1, Division 1 areas. A choice of either stainless steel or alloy makes the range suitable for either the offshore or onshore industries. Units have ULC approval for Fire Panels and are rated down to minus 50 degree Celsius.

XB12 Range - 21 JOULE XENON STROBES

XB12 Strobes are high output certified beacons designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The beacon housing is manufactured from a UV stable, glass reinforced polyester. Stainless screws & mounting bracket are used ensuring a totally corrosion free product. Units can be painted to customer specification and supplied with identification labels.

XB15 Range - 15 Joules Xenon Strobes

XB15 strobes have been designed for use in hazardous locations. They are lightweight and can be customized to suite any environment including onshore or offshore areas. Common features are ULC listing for Fire Panels, -55 to +70 Degrees Celsius temperature ranges, multiple color lens available as well as customizable flash rates.

XB16 Range - STROBE WARNING LIGHT

XB16 strobes have been designed for use in Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations. They are lightweight and can be customized to suite any environment including onshore or offshore areas. The XB16 can be configured with a variety of lens colors as well as voltage configurations. Optional Lens Guards can also be fitted on these units.
